About FBC Dennis

On July 8 1931, a meeting was called at the Dennis Tabernacle for the purpose of organizing a Baptist Church at Dennis, Texas. There were 15 people that attended this meeting and became the Charter members of the First Baptist Church in Dennis, Texas.

The church met in the Methodist Church building until August 1950 when the church voted to build their own building. The church building was dedicated for services on the fourth Sunday of October 1950. Since that time, as the need for space arose, God has blessed us accordingly, leading us to our current facility that includes a 425 seat sanctuary completed in 2007. The church has been blessed to have Danny Shearman as Pastor since 1998.
